Before the season kicks off, first-year NBA players gather for the Rookie Transition Program.
The three-day event is more than just an opportunity to learn about the league and the transition to the pros. It’s a time for players to embrace who they are and consider their unique strengths on and off the court.
The 2024 event featured a workshop called “The Process,” at which players could embrace the role of a creative. The workshop gave players the opportunity to design their own sweatshirts and embroider the piece on-site. Some chose straight-forward designs, like putting their number on the hood. Others went all out, fully customizing every inch of the sweatshirt.
The ultimate goal: Empower each player to embrace their originality and creativity.
